This wall planner is quite my thing, totally made for me. Each day is a stamp to fill out and tear off. And it it is totally perforated! Great. Superb. Bought! No wonder that it's from Present&Correct, they make so many awesome things. :) Have a great weekend, everybody!

So, hier mal was digitales... neulich nachts habe ich mich durch myfonts geklickt und diese Schriften hier haben mir besonders gut gefallen: Ritornelos, Strangelove Next, Amarelinha, und Erika. Sieht so aus, als wäre ich in der Handschrift-Phase... nur gut, dass ich auf neues Blei sparen muß, sonst hätte ich wohl mal wieder ne .otf Schrift gekauft.--------
Here I am back with something digital. I browsed through myfonts at night and I really enjoyed what I've found. Luckily I have to save money for new lead type otherwise I would have bought some open type fonts.

Es gab so eine Situation, da dachte ich: okay, es ist jetzt wirklich zu spät am Abend. Mir fiel der Schließschlüssel aus der Hand, krachte in den Text und verbog so einige Lettern, vor allem zwei kleine "p", und von denen gibt es nicht so viele. Scheiße. Gerade hatte ich den Satz in zwei Teile getrennt, denn bei ein paar Testdrucken war aufgefallen, dass die größere Schrift mehr Farbe zum drucken braucht als die kleinere im unteren Teil der Karte. Diese Erfahrung hatte ich schonmal bei einer andere Sache gemacht, also wußte ich das eigentlich. Die kleine Schrift schmiert dann nämlich zu.
Ihr könnt Euch nicht vorstellen, wie ärgerlich es ist, wenn die Lettern bombenfest verschlossen sind und man dann feststellt, dass man alles wieder aufmachen muß. Lautstark schimpfend habe ich das dann gemacht und schwupps, fiel eben der Schließschlüssel aus den Hand... Naja, die orangenen Linien, die auf dem Kraftpapier eher braun aussehen druckte ich am nächsten Tag und stellte schmerzlich fest, dass für die Web-Adressen auf der Rückseite nicht mehr genügend p's zur Verfügung standen. Aber da ich auch ein Klischee für small caps habe, war das nicht weiter schlimm. So fertig. Juchee. Zufrieden? Ja, total!

Last week I printed the invitations for the opening of the wunderkabinet. I used my lead type so setting and locking was a big part of this. One time while locking the chase my quoin key fell down and smashed some letters. Ouch. I lost two "p"... bohoo. And after all was locked and ready for printing I found out again (what I already knew before but forget all the time) that the bigger type needs more ink than the tiny one so I unlocked again and divided the text into two parts and printed each separately. Next day I finished printing the orange lines (that appears brown on the kraft paper) and the backside where our web-addresses are written. Unfortunately there would have been three "p" in there: wordpress, handprinted and small caps, but due to my smashed p's I just set the wunderkabinet address from lead type and used a clichee for my name. Done. Hooray. I am very satisfied with the result.

Gestern Abend habe ich spell with flickr gefunden. Mit dem Laptop auf den Knien hab ich mir ewig neue Wörter ausgedacht bis der Akku heiß lief. Toll. Was man so alles programmieren kann... klasse. Oder?

Auch North Face Jacke und mein grimmiges Gesicht können dem Berliner Regen nicht trotzen. Es trommelt aufs Dach und ich versuche zwischen Lettern, Lettern und noch mehr Lettern die To-do Liste für diese Woche abzuarbeiten. Die Zeit rennt, das W-Wort fällt immer öfter und ich stolpere hinterher. Ich werde ein wenig offline bleiben und alles wird gut :)

My furious face and the north face jacket can't brave the weather. Rain is drumming on my skylight and between letters, letters and letters I try to catch my schedule. Hard job. The time flies, the season with the big C is coming closer and I'll be offline for a while. Printing. See you :)
