Nächstes Jahr arbeite ich an meinem ökologischen Fingerabdruck. Dann kommen nur noch Ökofarben in die Werkstatt und das Aceton in die unterste Schublade. Bei Gerstaecker gibt es einige "Safe Wash" Buchdruckfarben, die mit Wasser und Seife entfernt werden können. Diese teste ich jetzt auf Licht- und Wasserempfindlichkeit. Bei drucken & lernen fand ich eine größere Menge Ökofarben und außerdem praktische Schuhcremedosen zum Aufbewahren selbstangemischter Farben. Süß, oder? Die kann man bestimmt noch für andere Dinge verwenden.

Interessant auch die 12 Cicero Schriftvorlage aus Linoleum. (1 cicero = 12 punkt) Schon vorgedruckt können die Zahlen einfach mit dem Schnitzwerkzeug ausgeschnitten werden, sollte man keine Plakatschrift aus Holz zur Hand haben. Hat ja nicht jeder, ich auch nicht. Keine schlecht Idee, oder? Übrigens um welche Schriften handelt es sich hier? Na, erraten?

I'll be greener next year. That's my goal for 2010. I'll order new ecologically inks and throw my white spirit far away. There are two favourite suppliers for letterpress inks in germany: Gerstaecker and Drucken-und-lernen. I will take these inks from drucken-und-lernen, and some of these little tins to store my mixed inks. What I found also interesting is this linocut font master. If you don't have wood type cut your own from linoleum glue it on wood cubes and print it. Maybe I give them a try. By the way do you identify this font type? ;)

Last week I got this H U G E paper container from the guys three floors under. I am so happy, now I can stand while settting type and my papers won't get dusty anymore. Thank god this piece of furniture was "small" enough to fit in our elevator.

Was ein Spaß. Viele schöne Koffer und ihre netten Besitzer habe ich am Sonntag getroffen. Leider habe ich es versäumt meinen eigenen zu fotografieren, daher kann ich ihn gar nicht zeigen. Hier eine kleine Auswahl der anderen:

I had fun meeting all the nice people with their wonderful trunks. I forgot to take a photo of my booth and these are just a few of the others. It was so interesting talking to all the creatives, exchanging business cards (I've made mine to hours before, beginner's mistake) and meeting online friends in person. I would love to see you again next weekend at holy.shit.shopping here in berlin! Until then it will be a little more quiet here: lots of things to finish...

It will be a magic sunday tomorrow. As I told you here I will be part of the D.I.Y. Trunk Show. I had to find the right suitcase and this is quite difficult with a limited budget. In the end I got the magic trunk from a wizard. It is just borrowed but has experience in doing good shows. So I hope my press will keep its form, if I will open the trunk again at "La Bastellerie" tomorrow. What should I do with a white rabbit? Do anyone know a spell just in case?

If I want to send somebody a message which is rather to short for a letter and to personal for an email, I write a correspondence card. And if I want the message to become more mysterious I take magic ink. Then I don't have to worry by sending the card in a transparent envelope, 'cause the message is invisible and will only appear if the consignee irons the card. I like the idea of a postman who is wondering why he delivers a blank card... he he. This is my post for this weeks "ehrenWORT", which is "silence".
